The highest level of certification for an FCT practitioner is a Diplomate in FCT (Dip. FCT) as given out by FCT World. This organization has been endorsed by Dr. Yurkovsky and represents the highest standard in FCT. It certifies that practitioners have the clinical skills, judgment, and attitude essential for delivering high quality FCT. The process for certification goes well beyond the basic training/certification provided by Dr. Yurkovsky. FCT World certified practitioners must take the FCT Graduate Program which involves training in theory, supervised practice by experienced practitioners, writing case studies, and passing a final written and practical examination. The goal is to make sure all certified practitioners practice safely and effectively.
As of January 2008, the only Diplomate in FCT in the North America is Dave Ou, M.D. He along with Simon Rees and Kevin Eakins are in the process of training almost a dozen new practitioners in the U.S. and Canada starting in January 2008. They should be certified by the end of the year.
Practitioners who have certificates from other entities have not met the high standards as set by FCT World. While some of them may be excellent practitioners, their skills has not been verified by FCT World.
